ReefTO Taskforce

Recently Shikierra was contarcted to do events management and logistics for the ReefTO’s first ever Sea Country Forum. Shikierra’s experience in events management and networks across Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities was a main highlight to the engagement.

The Forum brought together Traditional Owners of the Great Barrier Reef to discuss strategic priorities, collective engagement, and the establishment of a Reef-wide Sea Country Alliance. The forum aimed to amplify Indigenous voices in decision-making, prioritise actions in the Traditional Owner Implementation Plan, and strengthen cultural and environmental stewardship. Shikierra provided comprehensive event planning, logistics, service coordination, and communication support through the planning and implementation of the Event.
