TSRA Governance Training

Michelle was asked to deliver governance training for the new Torres Strait Islander Regional Authority (TSRA) Board members. It was a timely opportunity to induct the new board which comprises almost 75% new members for this term.  Michelle conducted two separate training sessions and will be returning throughout the year to provide ongoing support, reinforcing the importance of governance in a Statutory environment as well as ensuring that cultural is the foundation of the work and ethos of the Torres Strait. It was also great to see the connection between many of the women having previously participated in Leadership and Political workshops run  by Deshong Consulting now also elected to the TSRA Board.
